Does anyone know when the Cyclone II was made? I tying to find out how old my table is?

don't know for sure but i know it ended by 2008 and i think a buddy of mine got the II in 2004 or 2005...it may go back further but i can't say for sure

What is a fair price for these tables on the used market? There is one for sale local to me for $800.

That is way to high for a used Home Model. Depending on the age of the table $300.00-$400.00 in really good shape. Some people are putting ridiculous sell prices on their tables....I think the Cyclone is obsolete now but even new I wouldn't have payed $800.00 for one.

I figured that was pretty high, but I wanted to get some other opinions on a more realistic price. The frustrating thing is all tornados seem to be pretty expensive here in MN. I've seen many whirlwinds for sale asking $400-500. I'd really want to get a tournament used coin-op but I just can't get over spending $1500 for one. Are there any classifieds around for used tables other than CL and eBay?

read this, be patient, get your money and space ready...buy a coin op...I wouldn't pay more than $250 for a Cyclone II and as you know after reading below, even then I would encourage you to save your money and buy a coin op

if you were willing to spend $800 on a Cyclone but just wanted to know if it was a fair price, hold out for a good Grey Marble, you should be able to get one for under $800...last two purchases we heard about on here were Grey's for under $500 - granted, i thought those tables were stolen  but still, you get the idea

buy right the first time, you will never hate yourself later for buying a coin op but i can't tell you how many people have purchased a Cyclone or down and regretted it later and ended up buying a coin op...don't fight it, give in to your feelings, feel the coin op flowing through you

I'm in the market for a new table and have been searching previous posts.  I have a follow up question to what has been said in this thread already.  I found a listing on craigslist for Cyclone II Coin-Op.  I'm a little confused.  I know a coin-op is what I need to look for, but is there such thing as a cyclone II Coin-op?

well, that is very mixed up, it sounds like someone is making stuff up from reading this and that...
* no Cyclone coin-op
* Cherry is my table 3 tables ago
* says he has the new men and bearings but I find that hard to believe since they also said
* ball return on both sides?  on a coin op?
* weight they say is 225 and coin op is 375

ask for pictures and clarification...$500 for a cherry with or without the new men and bearings would be a reasonable deal as long as the rest was in top shape

ask them how you can tell they are new men
ask if it has a split top
ask them where you put the coins in for play
ask them how many plays on the game counter inside all coin ops
ask them their name so we can tell what "former pro" is talking like this

I will say Brainard MN is a well known place for foosball so it is possible to be okay and there are plenty of good foosers there to help check it out

my guess is they are using the term coin op on a Cyclone but it would be odd for a person to put new bearings and men on a Cyclone...

While there is no cyclone coin op there is such an animal as a Cyclone Split Cabinet isn't there? Perhaps thats what this table is.

no split top Cyclone...the split top is also a T2000 but you would think someone who was a Pro would know if a table had a coin mechanism, even someone who knew nothing about foosball would be able to see if a machine had a place to put coins

and no coin machine i have ever heard of from any company has two places for balls to come out

and on top of that, even Cyclones don't have 2 ball returns

I had contacted the seller of the brainerd table mentioned above when it was originally listed at the beginning of the month.  He sent me pictures of it and it was a cherry coin-op.  The coin mechanism was not installed, so there was just a hole where it should have been.  It only had the one ball return in the middle.  But, since it collected a ball from either side (duh), I think that is what he meant by dual ball return.  It seemed like a nice, clean table from the pictures, but it sold the next day.
