There were some players from Sioux Falls but I am unaware how they placed. If someone from that area wants to post their placings that would be great.
Overall, Foosmania was an amazing tournament. They had 10 tables that ranged from an older model Cyclone (1 table) to new T3000 tables. This required players to adjust to the different styles of table and really have an all around game. If you couldn't adjust your timing you were having a tough time. The Lincoln scene was out of this world too. ALL of the players were having a good time and most of all have some amazing talent. I will be going back next year for sure. I talked several times with the tournament director Marshall and right before I left I asked him the count of players that competed. He advised me that 131 - 140 players were at the tournament this year. If anyone was thinking about going and didn't you really missed a great event. As previously stated they had 10 tables, this was a difficult tourney to run with such limited numbers. As always, there are criticisms, my one and only gripe about this tourney was the lack of tables. There needed to be at least 5 - 8 more tables. Saturday night was non-stop sitting around. You played for 20 minutes and sat for at least an hour. This is something that no tournament director can see happening and it happens at any tournament. I think we also complain when you are playing match after match nonstop for 10 hours too. So, you take the good with the bad and push through to make the best of it. The great people that we met while we were there made it worth it in the end. Great job to everyone that put this tournament together, we all appreciate it.
