Walking Snake
« on: October 22, 2006, 03:11:17 PM »
i've been playing for almost a year now,and for the last few months I've been working on a walking snakeshot, (hopping, dancing), and I was wondering if alot of people use this shot. I've seen Tony Spredeman's shot, but i was wondering if anyone else works on it. I'm in a couple leauges in sioux falls, sd, and im the only one who does it. so im kinda pioneering it here. i've got the push side down great, i can make them jump right out of the way for the first game or so, but then they catch on. i can hit the pull where i want, but the d can read it and block it. so should i give up the walk, and just shoot my stationary shot (i can push and pull that fine), or should i keep practicing? i think i will keep working on it, even though my 5bar is what needs the most work.  ;)

I have been practicing walking the snake as well. Spredeman uses it to create holes in people defense. It can be a great help to be able to walk the ball around and make a stubborn defense change up. I think for the most part if the defense is moving I dont walk the ball around. I wait for an opening and take it! I have some buddies I play against that pretty much just sit. They spread the guys apart just enough that the middle is not open and if I am set up in the center, it pretty much forces me to go long to one side or the other. When i walk the ball around it forces them to move their defense, and in most cases will open a hole for me that otherwise wouldn't of been there.
