Hi, new to the forum, but not the game,.... got a few questions.

Hi all, nice place you got here.

First off, lemme give you all a little background,.....

I learned/started playing in the early 80's on through to about 90 on  tournament soccer (million dollar) tables, and got pretty good, (definitely not pro) but could hold my own, then lost interest.

Fast forward 15 years and I decide to take it up again, and bought a TS knockoff table for 75 bucks, and played it for a year or so, but now the men need replaced, and I think the balls are the cheap slick ones because they are nearly impossible to pin.

My first question is this,  Are the tournament grade (tornado) balls 1 3/8" in diameter or is the TS balls only that size?

which balls would be recommended for a TS style table to improve pinnability and control without going to cork?  tornado, dynamo??

Last Question, I looked at foosdirect.com and seen single replacement men for TS tables, but do they sell full (22) sets of yellow and tan? or do I have to buy the parts kit?

I'm not looking to go pro, I just want to be able to get a little more time out of this table before I upgrade, but also want to be able to play a decent game on this low grade table.

Does this sound feasible or am I just wasting my time?

20 years started playing again in april i bought a tournament soccer table
coin opp it has a black top table single goile beautiful table but not even
close to the older T S table brown top of the late 70s early 80s they realy
cheepend it up i ended up takeing the strip out that runs down the side i
mean it was cheep popped the ball up on every bank shot and the play
field was a glass type. anyway i thought i would replace my men with differnt
color men to match my table i went to thompsonsportinggoods.com but becarfull not to get the shorter man as they do sell them i allso orderd
tornado tetherd balls and they played nice as far as i can see same size
but weigh a little more . in july i got a tornado coin opp table so now i am the owner of 2 tables talk about going nutts over fooseball again

I hear ya Marty, my table is nothin' like the million dollar tables of the day.

Is it difficult to pull the sidelines out? I'll have to see about taking them out.
Mine does the same thing every time I attempt a bank shot.

Thanks for the link on the parts, I'll definitely check them out.

I'm amazed that I didn't get all that rusty after so many years, and yes, I have FOOS FEVER worse than before.

Fooz on!
