YouTube or Facebook like Foosball Site
« on: September 10, 2007, 07:32:31 PM »
Has anyone tried to create a site for foosers like YouTube or FaceBook?  I’ve seen some sites that are specific to interests that allow locals to hookup to play.

The problem with foosball is that you have to go to a bar to play.  I know a few foosers (including myself) who really don’t want to go to a smoky bar just to play the game we love.

I have a nice game room with a Tornado Storm II and Brunswick pool table but would like to find others who would like to play without the bar atmosphere.

If anyone in the North Dallas area feels the same way, then shoot me an email.  I’d like to put together a foosball club for the area where the players/members (membership fee is “love of the game”) host game nights on a rotating basis.

If ping-pongers, Texas Holdem’ers, and stackers (cup stacking) can get together then why can’t foosers?

Here's hoping 2008 will bring such a site to the foosball community...
For now... you can post a msg in the TX forum,  or try to contact others in the TX forum and see if you can develop a few new contacts via the forum or good old email.

Here's a link to the 50 State forums.... http://www.foosball.com/forum/index.php?board=5.0

Thanks Jim.  I'll give that a try.

Let's see what we can do to really put foosball back on the map!

http://www.myspace.com/trader1999      I used it to look for new players.  So far I've gotten one.

My wife created a facebook one.  http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=18477550424
