Id say just fiddle with the black piece that sits above the pan...it has a little brakaway action when you shoot to accomodate those non limp wristed shots ...but that piece may be stuck or jammed up, preventing it from thudding or sounding like you are accustomed.  I know the problem...I probably played on that table at a tournament and fired a few deadman snakes on that goal....lol

Actually the goal issue was fixed last night. I had to re-thread 2 screw hole on that particular goal so as the metal plate can be held tightly in place and by doing so/fiddling with it the plastic plate was loosened up. It now sounds like it should.

I was snapping the ball so hard I was denting the metal back-stop so don't you talk to me about woosy shots ok? But as with every other "proper" driving the sound effects must be present to also satisfy the ear's needs
