mgnsn24,

You are trying to tap into a wealth of knowledge on this forum.  A few words of advice, if I may.  Some additional information would help us to help you.

Do you know what brand of table?
Do you have a picture of the table and/or the surface?

These two tidbits of info could help us help you.

Different tables use different surface types and different manufacturing and assembly processes.

Pat

My table is made by Harvard. Nothing special. I apppreciate the help. It seems like this forum is a bunch of major foosballers. I love the game. I used to play when I was a kid at the local boys and girls club. I was one of the top players there and usually won donuts and sodas off of tourneys.  A big deal when you were ten. lol

this board has quite a range of players and everyone is welcome, glad you jumped on

foosball is a game that is big enough for casual player up to serious tournament players

to me the important thing is that you enjoy playing at every level and if you enjoy it, regardless of table or how far your game has developed, it doesn't matter

i used to be into high end audio (I have owned at least 4 sets of speakers that retail between $8500 and $11500.  High end people think Bose equipment is terrible but it is a big name (revenue wise) in hi-fi...personally I agreed with the assesment of the equipment but I never took that approach with friends and family

if someone was excited about their state of the art Bose system then I was always happy for them because the important thing was enjoying the music (or sound for your video).  Some audiophiles come off snobish and that hurts the hobby

I knew people with real expensive gear but they were never satisfied because they got caught up in the second level of the hobby which was equipment build and design quality and they forgot their first love - Music...I ran into the same issue during my experience

foosball, the fun of playing is our first love and it shouldn't matter what table...better equipment can enhance the experience but in the end, it needs to be the love of the game that keeps us playing, if that dies, we should try and recapture it or get out

so, I hope we aren't foosball snobs and I, on behalf of the regular posters here, wish you fun and favor in the foos days ahead - never hesitate to come back and ask questions if you have them...we aren't always fast but we will always try and answer

foos on

I think what BB is saying is "sell the harvard and buy a tornado!!" ;)

But seriously i would guess that for the cost/hassle of replacing the surface you could probably just buy a new one. Most low end (recreational) tables are relatively inexpensive and not exactly made to last either. I don't know about replacing a table surface on one but I would guess that they would rather just have you buy a whole new one. Only replacement playing fields ive ever seen are on pro style tables (tornado, shelti, bonzini, etc).

PLEASE HELP ME OUT! I want to fix this table. What should I do? Some guy left it out in the sun and the plastic bubbled (see picture below). Should I repaste it and use a heat gun? Will that work? Or should I just bite the bullet and buy another one? Table measures 78" by 28". Thanks for your help.

I would say bite the bullet if a new surface cant be had for dirt cheap. You can probably get a table in good shape off craigslist for cheap. Or just buy a name brand table and you wont have to hunt for replacement parts.

Is this table a find? Is it worth restoring? I got this table for free off craigslist. Actually not, it cost me about $40.00 in gas. What should I do with this table? I don't even know where to start. Is there some instructions I can get for this table on how to put together? On a tournament table is there guys next to the goalie (3 wide on the last bar?) Is there corner ramps on a tourney table? Any info will help.
