Does anyone know what configuration they are using on the Goalie rod?

Just got back from the venue and they are having a meeting as I type. Don't know if they will be discussing the one man goalie or not. They all have the one goalie here for sure.

Foos pics soon to come.

Thanks Ice

I was told there was a decision but they didn't know what it was.  Give use an update when you can.

I learned on a one goalie system, and it was fun. Learned on the Deutschemeister, and then played on some Leihmacher and a bit of P4P in its early stages. I can't agree with what ITSF is doing because Tornado is so dominant in its current format here. It would be like telling all of the Bonzini players, "hey, I know you like what you like.... BUT you have to completely revamp your table."  I can't approve even though I'm a novice.

Oh please someone tell me that Farid is no longer the ITSF President.  Did he replace teh Executive Committee like he threaten after they originally would not support his 1-man goalie mandate?

First of all:

Congratulations USA!

Well, the discussion is not going to be any easier now, I guess. How do you want to explain that you can't play on 1-man-goalie-tables when you've just become the WORLD CHAMPION?   ;)

Yeah baby! Way to go team USA! Solid play by Spree and Moore. I watched it on a chopped up live-streaming link. I hope that the next time more care and effort will be made so that it can be viewed fully. If this sport is to grow it should be made more available for viewing. Here we had the World Championships and you had to wait an hour between matches due to there was only one or two tables with a camera. Meanwhile other matches were ongoing on the different types of tables. I am not criticizing the efforts of those who did bring us the live stream as I think they did all they could while operating around the edges of the venue's media plan. I just think that the computer age should be embraced more fully and live streaming given a more prominent value in sharing an event that is really something to witness. Hopefully in the future we might see every table having a camera and the viewer having the ability to choose which matches they want to watch. Just my two cents,,,

it isn't can the best players in the world make adjustments and find a game with a one man goalie

it is if they should have to and it is about timing

don't lose sight of the real issue just because WE WON THE WHOLE FRIGGIN THING even after they CHEATED and changed our home table at the last minute

way to go TEAM USA!!!!

It was on TV in Europe.

No, they shouldn't have to, and the timing was a piece of impudence.

Can't you stop this conspiracy talk now that the US team has won? I don't mean you personally, Tuna, but there have been so many paranoid comments about the table change that it starts getting annoying. They were showing this on television in Europe, hoping to reach a big audience. As I pointed out, the guys in charge must have been thinking they couldn't show people Table Soccer with 3 goalies. If you think that's stupid, I'm with you. But it doesn't have anything to do with cheating or anti-Americanism.

Foosball in the US has always had change, it's about being a capitalist society. If you don't keep up with the latest you get left behind. So you buy it and they make money. If that wasn't true then my brown marble would still be THE Table. I wonder how Tornado players would deal with a drastic change like when TS went from blue tops to brown tops. Guess what? The players dealt with it and kept right on playing and it seemed the best players were still the best. Our US team showed us just how true that is. While Europe had wonderfully talented players we were able to show them two completely different styles of foos(Spree and Moore) yet completely dominating in both styles. I think the diversity of styles enjoyed in this country says alot about how we adapt and can adapt and will keep on playing regardless of these minor changes. I sure was proud of our team, just TOO COOL!
