Topic: Is this 2r to 3r pass legal?

Ball is stopped (motionless) for greater than one second under 2rod.  Ball is hit & then caught on 3rod. The path of the ball is direct 2r to 3r. (NOT beyond 2r,through opponent's goalie area, off end wall,& back to 3r). Is this Pass legal or illegal? Thankyou.

Any Goal&2bar area pass, stopped or not, that goes past one area, which in this case is your 5bar area, is legal and can be caught at the 3bar immediately.  In fact, many good teams practice one or more set (stopped) passes to one of the 3bar figures from the nets (G&2bar).

Now as to having to have sand in one's shoes to do this pass, that may be dependent on the event and the venue's house rules.
