Ben, do you mean he called the timeout before the ball was even put into play at 0-0? If so, wouldn't that at least be delay of game? And if he called timeout at 0-0 after ready protocol started he would be charged with that timeout, wouldn't he?

Just wondering.

Yes, he would be charged with a timeout.  As a matter of fact, once the previous game has ended, and the 90 seconds between games has elapsed, if you were to take a time out, it would be charged as a timeout.  If he was not ready to play, and did not take the timeout, THEN a delay of game could be charged.  Actually, you could theoretically take a timeout during the 90 seconds allowed between games, which would be charged to the next game (as the last game has already ended) and the 90 second timer would stop, and the 30 second timeout would commence, then after the 30 seconds, the 90 second timer would continue from where it left off.  Either way, it is charged as a timeout to the next game.

i think it was put in play and no points scored or it was 0-1 ,then called timeout (one with "0") then another at 2-? and then 4-? ,called his third thinking everyone forgot about the "0-?" timeout right at the beginning ,,,it was a long game so one might tend to forget thier TO count sometimes...
