table price?
« on: January 29, 2010, 03:02:21 PM »
i have a 2004 or 5 or 6 i dunno. serial number is 200693 coin op grey marble. and i was wondering what the going price for these tables are. its just my practice table. and has very little "rough" play on it. im trying to get some money to go to vegas for the hof and since im in school again i just cant afford it with a part time job. i was hoping to get atleast a 1000 out of it, but was wondering what a decent price was for it. the cabinet has a nick in it on the off ball return side. all the coin mechanism stuff is still with it, but not installed. i have a pry 25-30 balls rollin around here somewhere and pry a half dozen of each men for replacement and a hand full of pins. theres not much of a market in central nebraska for it, but ill be going to lincoln at the end of february and will deliver it that far. its been very well taken care of. and im really scared to sell it, but in order to further my game i have to make sacrifices. no i cant borrow money, and i really have nothing else to sell besides maybe my ps3 and tv. but i just dont see that happening. if anyone would be interested, please get back to me on here the big board or email me at swelch_66@hotmail.com.  im not interested in low ball offers cause i really dont wanna sell it, but if you could tell me what its worth bbtuna or egeer or someone who frequents the site, let me know. i may reconsider. if i could sell it for more to someone that doesnt know a whole lot about foos, that would be awesome, lol. but probably wont happen. p.s. if im gonna sell it, it needs to be gone asap. already booked a flight and hotel. just need money to be there and compete. thanks

Sean

I think $750.00 would be a more realistic selling price to start. There is a grey marble coin op on flea bay at $500.00 right now. I live in Missouri and might be interested but not for a grand.

Of course it does come with $150 worth of spare parts.  Find a tavern that has old tables and make you a deal with them before you firesale it.  $35 a week is a whole lot better than a kick in the pants.

its got merkel rods and very little actual play on it and your sayin high end 750? no way id let it go for that. i probably wont sell it now. its also had some pretty descent players practice on it over the last 3 years too. so its got some sentimental value i guess. i just couldnt sell it for 750 or less. but thanks for the input guys.

No one cares about merkels unless they are a serious player. So unless you can find a serious player who is willing to spend a lot of $$ but not just a little more for a brand new table (pretty unlikely) then yeah $750 is about the max.

Take the merkels back out before you sell it. Are they all merkels, or just a few?

two different people have bought Grey marbles on this forum within the last month or so and both were purchased for $400 and change...i thought this was a steal for sure but having tracked table sales for a long time, $750 is the very high end, even with spare parts---$700, top end for just the table, and $50 for spare parts

sorry, for those of us who own our tables it is painful to find they aren't worth what we hope but that is the way of it

just last week someone bought a brand new T3000 for $1005 so you can see you goal is sort of lofty

no one on this board is going to pay that kind of money

im deciding not to sell it. and im probably not going to make it to vegas either. o well. there will be more tourneys.  thanks for the input guys and yeah i realize i want more than what its worth, but aside from a little practice here and there the most abuse it ever got was harrington and adkittson showing me "how its done"  lol. and yes all the rods are merkel rods, wildcard. thanks guys, hope to see you all at worlds. cause that'll pry be the only tourney ill make it to this year.
