Had no pullshot so went to my alternate (2nd) shot the back pin and just shot banks. I had more fun and got more recognition than ever. Thanks to the goalies who had to try to block em its tough when Im hitting. You'll see them again. I have officially split duties with pull and back pin.

You guys in Texas were great so do me a favor wheather you thought they sucked or were awesome I want to hear it. See you soon. Didn't see the chupacabra though

wrist or palm roll?  tell me the positions...i shoot a back pin but have never found the right spots on Tornado like I had on TS where i used just the wrist...tell me ball placement in relationship to rod and what part of the man you hit the ball and what part of the ball you hit...video welcome

I couldn't hit a bank on Tornado to save my life. Warrior tourny. The shot is just like it was on the brown top or very similar. You playing both tables? You are now if you go try it.

Back in the late 60's and early 70's, I played with a guy who could hit both banks with all three men as well as several other options off the pin.  He was a Todd Loffredo look-alike for what that's worth.  I also shot them reasonably well.  I haven't seen anyone shoot them with much success since the early to mid 70's.

I was one of the victims this last weekend.  Back in the day, I blocked them fairly well.  Or at least, well enough to make him have to resort to the different options.  You hit some good ones.  I was disappointed that I didn't block them better even when I felt like I had a good read.  At first, I blamed my bad eyes and slow reactions.  (I do that a lot now than I'm getting older)  However, I watched you against Tom Goff (a youngster by comparison).  Tom is no slouch at goal and I felt better about my troubles after watching him struggle too.  I'm not sure if he has ever seen them though and I can't use that excuse so I'll have to come up with some other reasons.  Let's see...I didn't get much sleep the night before...I left my hair brush at home with most of my hair...

         I had more fun shooting those banks and losing than I ever had shooting the pull and winning. Now you might think that would make me happy and optimistic about maybe having a better chance of doing better in future events which I am but now I'm screwed because I'm even more addicted to the most addicting game ever. It's like I went from drinking a little to much to smoking crack. All kidding aside thanks for replying. It made me forget, for a moment, how sore I am. I'll be in Atlanta and St. Louis for sure, not sure about Michigan but we'll have to shake hands before a match sometime, maybe play together and shock the world.

if you convert your Tornado table, new men and new side strips, banks on Tornado improve dramatically...still not quite TS but much much closer than previously...also, i don't get balls flying off the table at anywhere near the rate i used to...granted my shot naturally has rise on it so old design I could barely touch a ball that didn't hit the rods, even straights when using a palm roll

before i could launch 5 out of 10 and sometimes worse but now I don't launch 1 out of 20...BIG difference...that is how much banks have improved too...one thing though is on TS banks were best with the ball barely out of a pin and behind the rod, but on converted Tor, the ball needs to be much closer to inline with the rod which changes the start position and where the ball banks on the side

its still behind the rod, not directly under it (although I think that would still work), but only barely behind

You can shoot a three rod bank on the Warrior table because of the ramps. It's actually possible to shoot the short banks on Tornado and I can even hit the very rare middle of the table bank on the Tornado from the three rod, but without the ramps, it's inconsistent at the very least.

i can hit the short wall banks from the 3 or 2 rod fairly consistent on the tornado but the cross court banks are alot trickier

You guys obviously have not seen MY banks. I'm looking for responses from people who have because they understand. If you have not seen my banks you just don't. Good luck with your banks on Tornado LOL, I mean really LOL. Better stick with the L.W.S.S. for those who dont know it means, it means, limp wristed spin shot. Kidding guys but really, you guys need to get on the Warrior train cause the Tornado train is done if you haven't figured that out yet.

I hope your right on that Spray, "the Tornado train is done". I really do as, just out of Norwegian bullheadedness, I keep working on my old TS style game even though it doesn't win me Tornado tournaments or confident partners, but it sure is FUN! And I really like to hear how players are making a noise on Warrior tables using the "old stuff". I'm looking to buy a Warrior table as I think the writing is on the wall and loving it! Go Brendan!

I watched you shoot the banks Dan. That's why I asked you if you were an old TS player. I could hit a bank from any man on the 3 row on either wall on the TS and this Warrior table is damn close in it's potential shots. I was even getting a good feel for the masse shot (I saw papafoos going down memory lane with the masse too...not to mention some crazy *** that Ryan Moore was demonstrating with the masse pull kick). I think you ought to stay with it and practice changing the angle to shoot behind the goalie that wanders out to far to try and block it. The warrior ball plays just a tad (technical term) too slow or it would be a real money shot. Good luck in ATL and maybe I'll see you in St; Louis.

Dan I saw your banks also and I can confirm every thing you were doing can be down easily on the new Tornado when using a brand new 5 hr tumbled ball.  However, after the ball slicks the funs over.  IMHO banks are fun, but that damn warrior ball kills my wrist. I wish there was a happy medium but to date there is not one.
