Uhhh.. you didn't include the video, and sadly there just aren't enough psychics here on fball.com ... At least in this forum.
;
1. Did you serve out of either fooshole in the middle (if the table has them, that is .. not all do) so the ball was moving (live ball) when either forward hit it?
;
2. If not, then did you serve ITSF or international rules style, stationary ball from the middle of the field on your 5bar line, and having to touch two 5bar figures, wait a full second, before advancing the ball?
;
If your work players are serving from the side holes, old-style, or "foosing" as they call it.: Once the ball hits the surface (not the side walls) it's live and if it goes back into his/her own goal after the serving forward hits it into a blocking defensive 5bar (a 5bar "stuff" or "getting roofed" for the volleyball terminology) .. it COUNTS.
;
If serving ITSF or international rules style, if the serving forward inadvertently loses control of the ball before hitting two 5bar figures and waiting a full second, and is subsequently blocked back into the serving team's goal.. it should not count since the ball was not officially in play yet. The serving team would however, lose the serve (deservedly so, because it takes an extreme level of dumb*ss, or alcohol, or medication, or ALL THREE, to lose 1-2 seconds of control of a stationary ball under your 5bar rod) and the defending team gets to serve.
;
Any other ways using the stationary serve from the middle of the 5bar where at least two playing figures have been touched by the serving forward and a full second has passed.. the ball is also regarded live and if blocked back into an own goal, COUNTS.
