Help with purchasing a T2000 table
« on: July 10, 2013, 07:23:50 PM »
I'm looking to purchase a quality foosball table.  I've found a coin operated Tornado table on Craigslist.

http://stlouis.craigslist.org/tag/3848664756.html

The Seller is asking $800.00.

The Seller stated via email it's a T2000.  Just by research through this forum it looks to be a Blonde(not sure...) 1997-2001 table.  According to a post the worth is anywhere from $400.00 - $550.00.

In the post he states it's in great condition.  I've read on this forum how to asses the condition of a table but let's assume it is in great condition.  What do you guys think it's worth?

UPDATE:

He stated 700.00 is the lowest he will go.  Is this a fair price?

I have more pictures of the table

The prices for used Tornado coin-ops given in bbtuna's thread seem to be pretty accurate (I assume that is where you got the numbers you listed). That said, I have seen MANY tables listed for much higher prices (e.g. brown marbles for $900, etc.) but I don't know if these tables ever sell for those prices. $700-800 seems too high for a blonde coin-op but of course the seller can ask whatever he wants. If you are not in a hurry, a better deal will most definitely come along. I noticed that table has been on CL for over a month. The longer it remains unsold, the more flexible the seller may become and he might consider offers lower than $700.
