2006 VA Open (Bonzini)
« on: June 08, 2006, 02:15:54 AM »
After a long layoff and a tremendously busy Spring, we start back up with the Thunder in the Mt. Foosball Spectacular. This was the scene of last years ESPN 50 States in 50 Days campaign in which this event was Day #6. We have received confirmation that the AQBB will make a return to this event where they experienced great success last year. Byer's St. Bistro continues to offer players great food and hospitality for this annual event. Our host, Dave Pelny and the Shenandoah Valley Foosball Association, always entertain the players and sponsors to the max. For those making the first time venture to this event, the Bistro will have 6 tables in their own seperate room. The waitresses always keep a drink in your hand. For those getting into town a little earlier, we will be having a little golf outting on Thursday July 20th and then do our tournament room set-up that night. Proceeds for this event go to support Hospice of Augusta County. Thanks to the efforts of the SVFA and supporters of the Bonizni U.S.A. Foosball Tour, the Thunder in the Mt Foosball Spectacular has helped raise close to $10,000.00 for the local Hospice organization.

Just a bump up.
Looks like we will have a group representing Canada at this event.
Xavier Harvey and Marc Gilbert are heading up a contingency of players to head down.
Just a little 23 hour drive.
The Carolinas will be represented.
We could actually have a bigger turnout for this event than we did last year.

This is a great tournament for a great cause.
Try to attend if you can.

Alan
