Help please! Buying a foosball table
« on: March 05, 2015, 01:12:51 PM »
Hello! I am looking to buy a foosball table on CL in my town. I am not a tournament player by any means, but we play pretty consistently and want to buy a table that will hold up well in my home. I have a crappy one now that is falling apart and broken players.

Anyways, there is someone selling a Great American Soccer Action foosball table. He bought it a year ago and had it in his bar for one year. He just had a broken guy replaced with an OEM player. So it should be good to go. I can't find any reviews on it and I don't know if it's good or not?? I have heard the bar ones are really good and it's retail price is like $1,700 and I can buy it from him for $300. Any thoughts please????

There is also a Harvard Mid-Fielder for sale and I have read that it's the higher end table for Harvard, but still don't think it was much money to begin with. He is asking $200 obo. Thoughts?

Your serious players here will probably only recommend Tornado, Fireball, Warrior or Bonzini(if you're in the SE)

Even the low end Tornado is probably better than either of these two.  Fireball plays well but their support is lacking.  Warrior finally got their table right, but they still need a few adjustments and don't have the track record that Tornado does.  I recommend taking your time so you don't make a mistake.  When you find something, get on here and ask for opinions.  If it takes too long and you miss out on a table, don't worry others will show up.
