Getting back into the game - info on Chamberlain Table?
« on: March 17, 2021, 12:52:13 PM »
Trying to fulfill a lifelong dream of having a table at home.
Balancing wife's requirements and my own!
Has anybody ever played on this "Chamberlain" table?
I can't find any information on it. Thanks!!

I have not played on that table but my guess is that it probably plays very similar to a cheap table. Looks like bolted (not pinned) guys which create dead tic tacks, probably solid 5/8" rods which are heavy/slow (compared to Tornado, Warrior). The table would probably be fine for most people and provide tons of fun but it will not replicate a competition/billiards/tavern level table (which you might not be looking for anyway).

I like the looks of the table tho.

Here are a couple higher preforming tables with better aesthetics, all of which cost much more:

Please don't spend $1k on that table. It will not play well and you can get a much much better table such as a new base model Tornado, a used high end Tornado, a Warrior, a Fireball, etc for the same price. Seriously, after about a month you will not play on that table because it will not play well.

Firewood here is less than $100 per rick.  Look for a used Tornado.  Even a 40 year old Tornado would be better if it's in good shape, and half the price.

I looks like you may be in Central TN (based in that seller’s location). There is a good player base in TN, AL, KY and GA.   Keep an eye on Craigslist - you may be able to get a used Tornado for */- $500. Better than a used one new off brand table.  There may be DYP tournaments in your area (still could be a couple hour drive). It’s worth looking one up, even if you just watch (watch  is all you want to do). Everyone was new once - you
May get some valuable assistance and maybe meet up with peeps from your area.
