Identify Brown Marble coin op tornadoTable and possible value?
« on: February 27, 2021, 01:53:40 PM »
I'm looking at buying a table locally. $500
Coinop (haven't checked rack count)
Brown Marble I believe. Serial plate in pictures but it's Fort Worth TX, 207626.
The logo is the Tornado T.
Haven't looked at the feet. It is dusty from sitting in a garage. The rods definitely need some cleaning oil. Moves rough from just sitting.
I realize the pictures aren't much. But it's what was available to me. Saw it in person also, but more for measurements.

Appreciate any help!

That's not a horrible deal depending on where you are at. In my area that table is worth $350-$400. The main things you need to look for are water damage to the cabinet or play area, blown out goals, and rusted or severely pitted rods. The first 2 can't really be repaired and the last one would cost you more money than the table is worth. Assuming those issues don't exist, you should give it a nice cleaning with a mild solvent, lube the rods, and you'll be good to go. Buy some new balls while you're at it.

Thank you!! Hard to find anything near me, honestly, and I did see him open the cabinet and it looked very clean and good. That being said what's a blown out goal?

If the rods have any pitting I’d be wary.  Unless you’re just goofing around and not serious. Or replace them.

The black goal is not blown out but can't see the yellow goal.  It's probably not because the coin op side is the side most like to be practice on.  Other than just being dirty, it looks good.  Not tournament ready, but still a good table.
