Table recommendations
« on: October 12, 2021, 09:57:34 PM »
Hi,

I'm looking to purchase a table for my home.  I used to play quite a bit and would like a table that is durable and sturdy.  Price range I can spend up to $1k on it so I think i can get a decent table here.  Reviews seem to recommend the Kick Triumph.  What do you all think?  Would you recommend anything better than this?  Space wise, I have plenty of it.

Thanks!

I was in that same situation.

I had a table at home in the late 1970's, kept it until 1990'ish; then as foosball waned -  so did my interest (gave that quarter-million-table to my nephews). Then early 2020 I found out Foosball was making a comeback and I looked into tables again.

The one thing I remember from the past was that everytime I went to play away from home... the tables there were always different/better/more-refined.  Even though my practice at home was helpful... there was always a slight adjustment required at locations that were away from home.

This time I decided to buy a table that was the same as at locations that i might be playing; got a Tornado 3000.  It was a blessing in that I have visited 3 different locations lately and they all had Tornado  tables.  I felt right-at-home on those tables.

The Tornado Classic table is affordable; I think it uses the same foosers (men) as on the 3000

Used Tornado (split bearing not a press in bearing style) for less than 1K. Hard to find sometimes depending on location but I wouldn't get anything else. Split bearings have hexagon shape on outside walls.

Don't buy a Kick table. No idea why the name keeps popping up here but they are cheap junk, just like all other non-tournament tables. Buy a tornado or another tournament style table such as a warrior, fireball, or even shelti. If for some reason you think you want a kick table, just buy one second hand on FB marketplace. You can find tons of them for next to nothing because people bought them only to realize they are crappy.
