Topic: Removing chrome plating across the top

My Rene Pierre foosball table in from 1970's, I'm not sure of the model name.
It is stamped in the chrome plate with the following: Peabody's Inc Virginia Beach Ba, ph 703-xxx-xxxx

My question sir, is how do I remove this chrome plating across the top? I removed the screws and the plate still does not come off.. Thank-you should you be able to assist me. I can send photo's if you should need them.
