360 degrees as spinning.
« on: February 26, 2005, 02:31:30 PM »
Hey guys/gals.  Just got bit by the table soccer bug and am back into the Foos after about 20 years off.  I just bought a Cyclone II and it should be in on Monday.  I had a question about spinning.  The question and answer section on this page states that if the rod goes more than 360 degrees before or after striking the ball it is a spin(regardless of keeping contact with the handle or not).  Looking at the demonstration video the man shooting the rollover goes past the point of 360 degrees.  Also seeing a few people here shoot it they also go past the 360 degree point.  Now it's not so far over the 360 degree point that you would think of it as spin but according to the way rules are explained here it would technically be illegal.  Am I miss interpretting something? Thanks for the feedback in advance.

Found my answer in the non abbreviated rules.  I was addiing the sum of the strike and the after swing.

Spinning of the rods is illegal. Spinning is defined as the rotation of any soccer figure more than 360 degrees before or after striking the ball. In calculating the 360 degrees, you do not add the degrees spun prior to striking the ball to the degrees spun after striking the ball.
