I keep my T-2000 coin-op at work. I got spare plugs from the manufacturer for the coin section so it doesn't take quarters, but the ball launch mechanism still works as before. My table is used about 15-30 games a day.
Every month or so I soak the tornado balls in a hot soapy solution and then scrub them with a scotchbright pad. That seems to bring them back to looking new. I use a degreaser against the playing surface, put a drop of silicone on each rod and wipe off the bumpers and any excess. The balls seem to stay much cleaner if I keep the bumpers free of exess silicon.
My question is how most people handle maintaining the Foosballs. I figure that I will eventually take the balls out of round doing this.
How often do most people replace their foosballs.
Also I have play on one of my bearings. I replaced both bearing halves and the nut. I broke one nut over tightening it to try to get the play out. Any ideas?
