Well, time just flies when you're having fun. Fun would be the adjective to describe the first five months of 1995. Sales are great!!! You guys are doing a great job. Our national league program is really doing good. Operators and players scrambled to meet the June 9th deadline for rosters and charter fees to qualify for Tornado's first League National Championship to be held in conjunction with the tour's '95 Nationals in San Francisco, June 30 to July 3. Speaking of tournaments, our U.S. Open in Cleveland was a huge success. Players from 39 states showed up to be in the show. Cleveland Coin's sales staff was out all three days to oversee the going ons and to schmooze with players and operators. Ron Gold was simply amazed at the level of play and the overall tournament. "If this doesn't get operators excited nothing will," stated Mr. Gold. We sure do appreciate Cleveland Coin's help before the tournament in getting the word out to area operators and players and also for their co-sponsorship by taking all the tournament tables.
Memorial Day weekend brought an-other Master's Open in Atlanta. This made the sixth straight year for Tornado to hold this event at the Atlanta Airport Hilton. Of all our tour stops this is without a doubt the player's favorite. The hotel staff is simply fabulous. They called the players and tournament staff by name and sure do make everyone feel welcome. We have contracts for the next two years at this hotel. The folks at Greater Southern are taking full advantage of this event as well. It was nice to see their sales staff and meet area operators and talk Tornado foosball. Greater Southern, Brady Dist. and Pioneer Sales split the 60 tournament tables which all performed without flaw. With Tornado's new super duper faster than fast, 73 million gigabit CD ROM, VCR uplink, NASA designed computers and software this gigantic event ran as smooth as a peeled onion and a great time was had by all.
I briefly mentioned our $50,000 National Championship in San Francisco, June 30-July 3. C.A. Robinson will be our host distributor for this event, and I am looking forward to meeting their operators and helping explain the many operator friendly features of the Tornado table. We're expecting another sold out event. The players just love those red, white, and blue trophies. And this year we're going to have something extra special. Red, white and blue Tornado home foosball tables to be given away to 8 lucky winners. California is now a Tornado stronghold. In this friendly state, everyone realizes Tornado Foosball is not a trend. Just like rock & roll, it's here to stay
Make your plans now to attend this year's $100,000 World Championship. Not only will you get the most exciting coin-op tournament ever, there will also be a distributor golf outing at Texas #l rated course, Bear Creek at D/FW Airport. Also, if the rain will let up, we will be in our new manufacturing plant and you will want to see that while you're here. Not to mention the free coin-op table just for showing up. Call for more info, and let us make your hotel reservations at the Hyatt. Fun for all at this event. Make plans to be there, who knows, you might see some-thing new from Tornado that 1 know you'll be excited about.
Until Next Time...Keep on Foosin
