Replacing Playfield
« on: November 04, 2007, 02:31:41 PM »
I just received a new Playfield from Valley but have no instructions on how to replace it. Any pointers or instructions would be most appreciated. sorry. This should have been posted under the non-rules area.

What kind of table do you have? I replaced a playfield on a coin op this year, here's what I did:
1) unhinge the top half. no need to dissasemble the rods
2) unfasten the old playfield. NOTE: some tables are screwed, some are screwed and glued. Mine was glued. I just unfastened everything and then repositioned the table top on the table until it started to fall away under its own weight. I was worroed about the glue taking away some of the table material but doing it that way produced good results.
3) After the old playfield is out, position the new one and mark for holes. Countersink the bottom side so the screws won't stick out.
4) screw the new playfield up and you should be ready to go.

Hope that helps!
