Repairing a table...cont...
« on: August 06, 2008, 06:23:53 AM »
I have continued my post on repairing my table and haven't got any input back yet. I look everyday to see if I got any inpit. Please provide me with some help. Thanks. My new fixer-upper in that deutscher table. I have pictures of it in my other post. Is there a way I can get the original instructions on how this table is supposed to be put together?

Wish I could help you, but I have little clue about repairing tables. This is what I do know about that style of table. It is a one  goalie system, and you will need corner ramps to place on the table.  Other than that, good luck.

You said the guy left it in the sun, did that mean he also left it in the rain? I think for a table that old the rain might have some ill effects on the playing surface, and maybe the bubbling isn't just due to the sun, but also some table warping from rain. I hope not.... but it's possible. I agree with a post in your other thread about possibly trying to find a better table for cheap, but I still think you should keep that one as a nice little project.

For the table surface, try here:

I don't know if it is the same size playfield, but I would expect it to be close.  You probably could speak to the website owner, Charles Macintosh, who could give you better advice.

As far as how to affix it, I have no experience doing that.  HOwever, I would expect a product like Gorilla Glue, Tite Bond or a high-quality epoxy or construction adhesive would do the trick.

Best of luck,
