Parts for Micro Games, Inc. Grand Champion Foosball table
« on: December 08, 2014, 08:32:58 PM »
We have a Micro Games, Inc. Grand Champion Foosball table and it has dynamo men on it. several are cracked and broken along with some bumpers, etc. I would like to rework it and get it as close to original with in reason. if not just to make it playable. Any suggestions on where to get parts, and thanks.

I'd say fish for parts or a parts table... these folks may have a clue... unless you found this one...

Hello MarkeMonn,

Where are you located?  I have a complete set of original men (Red & Yellow kind of look like clowns) for your table and various other parts (Bearings, bushings, score keepers, etc.) that I took off another Mirco table.  Shoot me your email address and I can send you pics of what I have.

Regards....

Mike

Here is a guy selling a whole table for $150.  Looks to be in pretty good shape:

I know you were looking for parts, but at that price, I figured I'd let you know

Depends on your focus... restoration or making it usable... assuming 5/8 rods not 16mm (measure carefully with micrometer), I would buy warrior 5/8 figures from eBay, mix ball kit and 8 ttr wraps from jim here, warrior bumpers, pins and a warrior yellow ball direct, 5/8 wood handles fr amazon or part a used $50 Harvard table... You will likely need bushings... can't help you there...

A large walk in billiards store can be useful if they support foos... both of mine carry dynamo and a range of others. Great for comparing replacement parts or measuring candidates.  Figures can get too expensive to swap out entire sets...

Harvard foosball table.com could help too.

If your going for restoration... keep in mind the figures broke for a reason... hard to find for a reason... I'd buy a parts table Swap and match the best of each then sell the mutt. At end of day you'll have a mediocre table with fragile figures...unless you sell it as well..

I am not a fan of the dynamo figures at all... too brittle, old bolt/nut fastening system, very old foot design, 16mm hole / often on 5/8 rods, no longer standard...your rods will likely accept a roll pin instead of a nut bolt combo. Upgrading is a small risk, awesome return.

Sorry to jump in on the chain...  but do you think those warrior men would work on a Tournament Soccer table at all?  I ask because the original men are in good shape, however I notice some stress cracks showing in a few.  And I was thinking about ordering a replacement set of 22, however they are all the cheap versions from China, which are hard plastic and brittle.

I thought this might be a good option, but figured I would ask first.

Thanks in advance for any input.

I think most figures interchangable... you'll need to adjust bumper thickness and be careful with bar diameter 16mm vs 5/8 will mess you up a bit... Best way to guess is if you have a micrometer, measure the bar diameter, distance between the figure whole center tip to toe, and bar center to playfield surface distance... then post it.  I haven't had a TS in 20 years, so need real numbers to say yes.  I live in the real world so I personally prefer to measure twice then buy samples and test in the center forward position all the shots I know with them so I know to see what is workable.  Most figures are somewhat interchangable on most modern american style tables.  Things like stubbing or goal wall contact could be an issue, but my gut feeling is not.  Frankentables can be a blast or an expensive fubar... samples are the key... I have in front of me, tornado 5/8,warrior 5/8, warrior 9/16, fireball 16mm, shelti pro 16mm, sureshot 5/8, dynamo 16mm, all have same whole center to toe tip.  The toes are all different implying pin feel and banking edge differences.  I think the shelti or warrior are likely the best design.

Appreciate it.  I'll check when I get home tonight and see.  I did reach out to Warrior, and they said they had a brown top, and would try one of the men on the table and get back to me.  I'll reply if and when I hear back from them.

I have a coin-op Mirco Champion Soccer table that I just finished restoring. I found my parts by surfing e-bay and craigslist. Keep in mind tthat Mirco also sold a generic table just named Champion Soccer by Arizona Automation. I found some replacement guys on one. Just be aware that they may look the same, some older ones do not have the cup on the side of the foot. Other than that, they will fit and work fine. If I was you, I'd try to find the original guys, they can be re-painted and are far more durable than the cheap ones sold today. Good Luck!

I am also looking for replacement men for the Mirco Games, Inc Champion Soccer table, the one made in Arizona. I need a red guy, but I would like to purchase as many as I can for future or for the guys with chipped hats, etc....

Thanks!
