Plastic handles cracking

Just looking around for a used T3000 and seen one with the yellow handles cracking around the roll pin holes?  Is it from driving the pin thru and it catches or is it wear and tear?  The crack is about 1/2 inch long on either side.  About half are like that.

If it is an early T3000 maybe age related?  The handles are easily replaced and about $6 each. So if rest of table is in good condition and price is right......

I have had this happen on a couple of our tournament tables. I think bet there was a manufacturing issue when they first started making them. The newer more brightly colored plastic handles are quite durable and I haven't had any crack on me yet. Replacements are cheap anyways...

Thank you, these were darker yellow ones so may be age related. Think you are right Bolt.  To have a handle break during play would be nuts!  AT, you must have seen men break on the tables.  Do they switch you to a new table or just quickly replace the rod, then continue play.
