of the players we are always talking about really are. This list was created
with the help of many foosers who have sent me information, pictures, updates
and the like. Special thanks to Carl Ijames for the
bulk of the pictures. And Jim Waterman
for the bulk of the info.

exuberance make him the game's best young player. Young Tommy's versatile

him into the national spotlight. In 1993 the eighteen year old Adkisson

mixed doubles. The future is certainly bright for this Oklahoma foos phenom.

Other Information: The 1994 season saw the return of Ken Alwell
and his legendary push-kick to the Tornado pro Tour. Alwell's eight year
absence did not diminish his formidable forward skills as Kenny won both
the Iowa State and Halloween Open doubles titles with Steve Mohs. 1994
also saw him placing second in mixed doubles at the world championships.
Kenny was one of the 1970's greatest players, appearing in countless championship
finals.

Bacon has been a premier performer since he was a teenager. A former foosball
phenom from the state of Michigan Tony has won virtually every major foosball

when it comes to foosball. This Columbus, Ohio police officer has proven
himself as one of the sports top players for more than fifteen years. Big
Steve s l993 second Place finish at the World Championships with bon Swan
was followed up by a 1994 National mixed title (with Tiff Billirakis) and
a runner-up finish at the '94 Masters with Swan.

forwards, the name Louis Cartwright immediately comes to mind. This calculating
foosball technician has four major titles to his credit in only 2+ years
as a pro. In 1993 Louis captured the open singles title at both the Kickoff
and the US Open while also winning the Masters Open Doubles event in '93
and again in '94.

of his foos career as a novice he had victorys at the 93 tour kickoff,
(novice singles), two no-pro draws victorys in the same year, 93. He is
known for his back pin shot which was dubed the pinalyzer after he had
finished no worse than forth in novice singles on the 93 tour. You will
also hear his Madden like voice doing color on early Inside Foos productions.

3-rod mark him as one of foosball's finest forwards. Dave added a green
jacket to his wardrobe in 1993, winning the Masters Singles title. This
long-time Minnesota fooser had a fine 1994 season as well, placing second
in open doubles at the U.S. Open with Steve Mohs and placed third in the
'94 Masters event. Dave credits all-time great Doug Furry with being his
major foosball influence.

on the Tornado tour in 1988, teaming with fellow Floridian Chris Starczewski.
The team de-railed Florida's red-hot Horton/Pruitt team at the 1990 World
Championship for Fourth Place and placed as high as Fifth (Nationals) in
many other open doubles tournaments. Star and Jones lost on match point
playing for 13th place to cap foos history's best open doubles performance
by a female team (Tielens and Gunther) in the 1996 World Championship.
More recently, Star and Jones have placed third or better in all three
of their 35 and Over doubles appearances. Dave credits legendary foos player
and author Johnny Lott as an early influence on his game and considers

U.S. Open, hard working Floridian Tom Yore claimed his second 1997 tour
title (and fourth overall), coming from the losers side to defeat ’95 World
Singles Champ Dave Gummeson in two competitive, beautifully played final
matches. These two classy foosball performers played a total of three closely
contested matches during this singles competition, each of which left spectators

In the [HOFC] weekends other major championship event, rising superstar
Tom Yore of Tampa, Florida and 2-time female goalie of the year Christina
Fuchs won their second major [Mixed] title in less than a year, storming
undefeated through the winners bracket on their way to the 1997 Hall of
Fame Classic Mixed Doubles Championship. When added to their ’96 Masters
[Open Mixed] title, Yore and Fuchs’ 1997 season-opening victory makes them
only the third team in the last four years to win more than one major mixed
