Rods rattle in used table I bought - fixable?
« on: August 31, 2021, 01:08:08 PM »
Hi

I bought a used Barrington table for $30 from a neighbor. Overall, it seems in decent shape, but I have a couple issues.

My largest problem is that the plastic pieces that go around the table that the rods go through are not fitted well, it seems. It's so bad that I wonder if I just did something wrong to assemble them. It makes shooting pretty hard, and sometimes they pop out.

Should I try buying some new plastic pieces here that fit better, or does someone have suggestions for other fixes?

Thanks!

Video of the issues, although I think it's easier to tell in person: https://imgur.com/a/scgYiPB
The tape on the left one is to try to keep it from flying out all the time.

Looks like youll need new bearings (aka bushings). No idea if they make them for that table. You might be able to get generic 5/8" bearings and screw them in on the inside of the side walls.
